Interesting Times

Through the lens of history, with its tendency to distill circumstance, all times are interesting times.

We are in the Crisis mode of this cycle. It seems to come along once in a life time. Every 80 years or so.

What I find intriguing is that with this cycle, more people are living longer. And so there are more 80+ people out there who clearly remember the last lifetime Crisis. They have been quite vocal in commenting (to those of us paying attention) on the striking similarities

If we could reach, as some scientist project, a consistent life span of 150 years, how will that affect people’s understanding of these types of events? Could it affect governmental policy in any meaningful way or are the generational dynamics too entrenched, the narrative too embedded in our collective psyche?
